Come and celebrate the Fall in Hatboro

Fall Decorating Days       October 1 – 6

Spruce-up your storefront to reflect this great time of the year.  There is a contest for the best-decorated window, best decorated outside storefront. Judging will be the week of October 8- 13 and prizes will be awarded on October 16th. Winner will be posted on Hatboro Chamber Facebook page and our website www.hatborochamber.com.

 

Community & Business Networking Event          Cornhole Tournament

                             October 4, 2019      $20.00 per person, day of $25.00 per person

                         5:30 PM to 9PM                              Hatboro Lumber, Jacksonville Road

Come to the HatOberFest Business & Community Networking Event to benefit HAT Packs. See enclosed flyer. This promises to be a fun evening.  Remember to bring your business cards, too.

 

 

 

Ghostly Days        October 7 – 13

Following the fun-filled tradition of “BOOing”, the merchants will have a chance to ‘BOO’ one another this year.  Here is how it works: Find a business owner that you would like to surprise with a fall gift, sneak the gift onto their front door without them seeing you and then wait for them to find it.  We have a kit containing everything you need to use.  Just drop by or call the chamber office for a BOOing kit.  Everyone enjoys this tradition adopted in many neighborhoods

 

Scarecrow Contest- Make a scarecrow to decorate Hatboro. They will be on display from October 21 thru October 31.  Complete the attached entry form and submit to the Chamber Office by October 7. The chamber will send you an email to notify you of the location of your scarecrow. Judging of scarecrow will take place on Saturday October 26, by the Chamber board members and Hatboro Borough Council.

 

 

Be Witching Days          October 14 – October 20

This week the fall weather should turn cooler and the excitement of the children will get you ready to plan what you will be giving out during the Halloween Stroll. The Halloween stroll is very popular in Hatboro so do not run out of goodies. For more information on this event see further down this letter.              

 

Fire Prevention DayFriday October 18- 6 PM – Enterprise Fire Company celebrates Fire Prevention Month at Enterprise Fire Company.  For more information check Enterprise Website.

 

Decorate a PumpkinSaturday October 19- 1PM to 3PM KP Kitchen Crafts 222 South York Road across from the Union Library.  Come and decorate a pumpkin for your home for the festive fall season. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry.

Trick or Treat Days         October 21– October 31
Did you know that more Pizza is consumed on October 31 than any other night of the year? Pizza is a simple, quick and every child’s favorite meal. Check out the many restaurants in Hatboro for their Halloween night’s special.

Scarecrows on display starting October 21st until October 31st. Judging takes place on Saturday October 26,2019.

Monster Mash Halloween Bash Thursday October 24, 2019    Time 3:45-4:45.

Join the staff of the Union Library Company of Hatborough for a spooky Halloween party featuring stories, treats, games and crafts. Halloween Costumes are welcome. All ages are welcome, but children ages 3- 9, will best enjoy this event.

Halloween StrollSaturday, October 26   2 pm to 4 pm Businesses along York Road

This event is very popular with the residents of Hatboro.  Seeing all the children in

costumes, parents and families stroll the town and enjoy a safe trick or treat event is a treat

within itself. Business owners are very happy to open their doors to the annual event. Not a business along York Road but would like to participate please contact us as we have many spots available for organizations and businesses to participate.
